Welcome to the Kelly Edition of HumpdayRemixes! Today’s entries are pretty spectacular – one’s a club groover and the other is a live concert footage where you’ll be taken to church. Can I get an “Amen” from the congregation? Amen! PREACH Preacha!!
Dude… back in ’94… you couldn’t avoid this baby makin’ tune. “Bump n’ Grind” is THE reason why there was a surge of babies being born in October of that year (I couldn’t find any official data on that though but just go along with it, ok?). So how does a knockin’ boots jam that was released over twenty years ago make a comeback? Well, put an awesome throwback 90’s House beat to it .. THAT’S how! Thankfully for us, Waze & Odyssey have gone out of their way and done that exact thing for us. We should send them Thank You cards. I’ll get their address but until then enjoy their Bumptastic (TM pending) version of R. Kelly’s “Bump n’ Grind” below.
Everyone’s favorite American Idol (no not Carrie Underwood) can really do no wrong. I mean she’s basically been growing up with us all for well over a decade and she’s like the girl next door – if that girl had a killer voice and loads of money in the bank… but I digress. Kelly performed in Buffalo a few days ago and decided to take everyone there to church with her – whether they liked it or not. Pulling from the sacred hymns, Kelly starts off asking Jesus to help her out and then proceeds to get the spirit moving when she belts out “I stay out too late / Got nothing on my brain” and that’s when the congregation loses it. Get caught up with the movement below.
What do you think about today’s entries? Let us know below, ok?
