Mix a bit of disco with Whitney Houston’s “I’m Your Baby Tonight” and you’ve got this beautiful track from Tensnake. Featuring Nile Rodgers and Fiora, the song is a beautifully crafted throwback to the disco era.
For you youngin’s who don’t know who Nile Rodgers is, to sum him up in one word – genius. Being a part of the group Chic, you’ll also know them for their many hits including “Le Freak” and “Good Times.” Nile Rodgers has worked with basically everyone in the music industry… Madonna, David Bowie, Duran Duran, Diana Ross, and recently with Avicii, Sam Smith, Disclosure, and Daft Punk (obvs). He’s usually the one at the Grammys with the cool dreads.
Fiora has also been quietly tearing up the Electronic and Dance scene with her collabos and equally amazing own works. Her recent team up with Armin Van Buuren on his “Waiting For The Night” song is a current repeater on our playlists here.
If you’re a big Dance music fan, then you’ll definitely remember “Coma Cat” from a few years back. The name of the song probably doesn’t ring a bell but once that melody first kicks in, you’ll remember. Trust. Finally Tensnake has returned and released his debut LP “Glow” a few months back. Now, if you liked today’s NewMusicMonday’s entry of “Love Sublime” then you absolutely HAVE to get his album.
